Bob Ask, Resident Review of Stoney Point Meadows Assisted Living in Cedar Rapids IA

Senior Living Testimonials and Tour: Resident Bob Ask, Marketing Director Jill Oldham Ryder, Son of Residents Dave Thompson, and Staff RN Brandi Simmons

Coach Bob Ask, resident of Stoney Point Meadows, recalls his decision to move to assisted living in Cedar Rapids IA. He left his home of over 60 years and move to Stoney Point Meadows for several reasons, including the need for benefits of assisted living, at 94 years old. Bob and his family selected Stoney Point Meadows for the comfort, care, safety and security offered, for everyone’s peace of mind. One additional important reason for Bob’s move to assisted living was to reduce the constant care provided by his family, and make those visits enjoyable ones instead, with less work for family members. Bob visited Stoney Point Meadows with four family members, for a tour, and good lunch. Jill provided the tour and they looked at an apartment, #214. Professional staff are kind and sincere, and Bob knows many tenants as well. Bob receives two physical checkups per day, good food, and top-notch weekly cleaning and laundry services. Bob is glad to share his endorsement of his new home, Stoney Point Meadows.

Jill Oldham Ryder, Director of Marketing, gives a tour of Stoney Point Meadows, beginning in the pub, the hub of the building. A fitness center offers both individual and group exercise as well as physical therapy and occupational therapy and speech therapy. A spa room allows for relaxation in a whirlpool. Unit tours include spacious layouts, double closets, ample storage, modern bathroom with zero-entry shower and safety features. Kitchen space allows for ease of use. Every unit has own washer and dryer with storage unit and shelving. WiFi included in rent.

Why Stoney Point Meadows: Son of assisted living residents Dave Thompson, discusses looking for a Cedar Rapids assisted living for his parents, in their 90s. After touring multiple facilities, Dave’s parents were convinced that Stoney Point Meadows was the place for them. A tour allowed them to experience in advance the welcoming atmosphere, and spacious unit they ultimately chose.

Brandi Simmons, RN, staff at Stoney Point Meadows, is excited and proud to share that tenants are 100% satisfied with the care they receive. A few things staff assist with are morning and evening routines, and medication management. The best part is that all these services are included in monthly rent. Brandi welcomes inquiries and offers to visit with guests.
